As you may be aware that, Microsoft SharePoint Team blog, have announced the availability of GroupBoard Workspace 2007 – application template for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. It can be downloaded from their Office Online Japan (Direct Link to download, end of the post)
If you head over to Microsoft Application Templates page for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, none of the 40 Templates have been released yet. Infact GroupBoard Workspace 2007 does not even show up on the list.

Coolest Web Usability thing of the day – Snap Preview Anywhere – just add JS and preview other sites….
I was cruising Alpesh’s blog and as I moused over a link I saw a preview of the page. THIS IS AWESOME!…

Yes, Angus. It’s a cool add-on.
I think you have already added this to your blog – which is on MOSS 2007?
Cheers!

Did you manage to download the stp files for the templates, I can’t login with the credentials they supply?
Alpesh said,

I am going to do that tonight. I have had no chance this week
Certainly tonight. Will keep you posted.
You cannot login completely or is it that you cannot save the stp files?
Cheers!

The credentials sent by Trialsharepoint do not allow access to the trial site! Have you managed to actually get access let alone create stp files?
Alpesh said,

Absolutely. I have got access. You can see that from the screenshot. Tonite, I managed to get stp files as well. Generally it takes about 24 hours for site access. However, given its weekend, you may not get access for anoterh couple of days – since most businesses and services are going to operate on minimal staff in following week.

For me it’s been 4 days and I still cannot get access.

It has been five days for me and I still do not have access. I have contacted tech support but not have heard back from them yet. Has anyone else had any luck with this yet? Thanks!

Hi All,
I registered for another account. I did receive an email immediately. However, I do not have access as some of you. I believe they would be approving the accounts before they are active. This is probably to do with spammers!
Well, as I did mention above, maybe this won’t happen before Jan 2, 2007

Well I still dont have access, so I am hoping it will kick in on Jan 2nd. Did anyone have luck loging in and saving the templates yet?

I signed up for a free 30 day trial at crystal tech and they seem to have a bunch of the new templates. That said, while I can save them to STP files, I can’t get them to work on my site. I think it deals with all the Site Features that go along with the templates.

Hi All,
@Mile: That’s good to know about crystal tech.
@Chadd: Yes, I am sure it should be operational soon. Yes, I did download the templates, but haven’t tried them on my server as yet. If Mile is right, then we might have to wait until new templates are released officially.

Hi All
Happy New Year!
Ok, I still have no access to this site. I might give them a call tomorrow, if I don’t see any changes by tonite.
Keep you all posted.
Cheers!

Ok well I guess that is good news for us (as long as they can fix the problem). Thanks in advance for keeping me posted on how things play out for us.

Hi All,
Ok finally, I got through. I suggest you guys visit Webcentral.com.au website. On top right, you will find mission control.
Log a job there, using same credentials.
Let me know how it goes?
Cheers!

Hi Jorke,
Thanks for the update. These templates will not work with WSSv3. Is that correct?
We need to have SharePoint 2007 setup to use these templates?
Cheers!

So at this point you are able to log in and access the new templates though? Thanks in advance for the information.
Alpesh said,

Hi All!
@Chadd: Yes. I was able to logon. The templates do not work with WSS Installation.
If I get around to doing a SP2007 Server installation, I will try to install the templates.
Cheers!
