Windows Live Writer 2008 and WUA
Yes Windows Live Writer 2008 has been released. At the time of installing WLW 2008, I got a notification saying you need to update the Windows Update agent.
I did not want to run the Windows Update, so I went hunting for WUA. This is where I found the information on downloading.
If you want to download WUA directly, here are the links:
Download x86 version | Download x64 version | Download ia64 version
Read more on WLW.

Hi, isn’t it a bit crude to almost force visitors to subscribe to your feed this way
Nice strategy though, but I think its better to let the visitors decide on their own whim. That is how I got most of my readers

Hi.
This is not to get you to sign up. This is to appreciate readers who are now regulars and subscribers. I am not forcing nor do I like that. I am sure my readers will agree with that.
By the way I have signed up for your blog updates. You write well
Keep in touch.

Btw, MS have released a Windows Live Installer, that lets you install, all the Windows live desktop applications, ofcourse you can choose which ones you want. It’s kinda pointless though, just like the google pack IMHO, but anyway here is the link http://g.live.com/1rebeta/en-us/WLInstaller.exe
